What Is Mohair?
Mohair is a luxury fiber produced by Angora Goats. Mohair is as warm as wool but much lighter in weight. It resists soiling and is almost non-flammable. Mohair can be twisted or bent without damaging the fiber because it possesses great tensile strength. Mohair's sheen or luster helps dyed mohair resist fading caused by time and the elements. Mohair's warmth, durability, beauty and elasticity make it an ideal fiber to work with. Mohair is harder to spin than wool, but easier than Alpaca fiber.
